Notes

Kirby is best known for his copy ability, so it makes sense that his Copy card is one of the best in the game. In fact, one could argue that it is the single best card in the game, as it has the ability of every card in War of the Fanboys combined. Of course, it must be used properly to be of any benefit. Copy is the reason you donít want to brag about the great cards youíve drawn. Sure, itís nice to threaten the use of a Fire Blast, but it just might make somebody whoís invested heavily in Kirby cards a bit jealous. Itís also a great way to coax somebody to do your bidding if they think theyíre safe on the Great Fox just because the Bullet Bill card is in their hand.

The cards show Kirby from Super Smash Bros Brawl after heís copied Mario and (Toon) Linkís abilities. These are perfect representations of the card, because the player can use it to copy either a Mario or Zelda Hero Card. For instance, if a player Copies the Bullet Bill card, itís like Kirby is wearing a Mario hat for the turn. Of course, Copy isnít limited to these two Hero Card decks, but they are to two most common Heroes an opponent can have on the board.

Clarifications

Can I take my opponentís Copy?

Only if you want to be excessively cruel! In fact, using Copy on the only other instance of Copy is probably the best way to use it. You can take the 2nd Copy and use it without any cost. This prevents your opponent from using it, and because youíve already seen their cards, you can either take the next best one in their possession or you can choose a different opponent to pillage.

Can I take a card when I donít have the corresponding Hero from that deck?

Yes, but you wonít be able to use it until you have that Hero somewhere on the board. This means that when you finally do get around to using the card, you will have to pay its cost.

Previous Versions

No change here. Copy has always been a card that you donít want used against you. The only issue was that it didnít give instructions for players who didnít want to use the copied card on that turn. In fact, judging by the wording, the original Copy sounds like it can only take a card if itís to be used immediately. This was changed for clarification. The screenshot shows Kirby copying the Ice Climbers in Super Smash Bros Melee.
