Card Info

Title: Dedede's Ring
Cost:

3 coins

Quantity:

x1

Play:

Play when an opponent declares an invasion into a contested territory.

Description:

This is the only territory that may be attacked by the player for the remainder of their turn.

Notes

When combatants gather in King Dededeís Ring, itís a fight for the ages. When this card is played, the ropes go up around the territories engaged in battle, and itís a fight to the finish. Or until the attacker backs out. Use this card when an opponent invades another opponent or a territory of yours thatís non-essential. This can be an infuriating card as it renders most of the opponentís turn useless. For best results, play when two opponents are battling in two territories with large numbers of Fanboys. The attacker will want to conquer at least one territory during their turn, and because none of the other territories will be an option after this card is played, the two players will run themselves down. Itís always a victory when another playerís Fanboys are being destroyed.

The screenshot is from Kirby Super Star, when Kirby faces off against King Dedede in Spring Breeze mode. The two duke it out in the ring in a classic battle of good vs evil. If Kirby wins, he rescues the last Sparkling Star and returns all the stolen food to the inhabitants of Dream Land.

Clarifications

Can I play this during any invasion an opponent makes?

Yes. It doesnít necessarily have to be the opponentís first invasion and it doesnít necessarily have to be an invasion into a territory you occupy.
