Card Info

Title: Parasol
Cost:

2 coins

Quantity:

x1

Play:

Play before your first invasion.

Description:

You may invade any air territory from any Zebes or Great Fox territory you occupy. You do not require Ness to make any Zebes/Great Fox to air invasions.

Notes

Nintendo characters seem to have a certain affinity with parasols. Thereís no Princess Peach Hero in War of the Fanboys, so Kirby gets the honor of wielding it. With the Parasol, your Heroes and Fanboys can leap down from Zebes or the Great Fox, and drift softly to the air territories like paratroopers. Because no air territory is safe, it is nearly impossible to defend against this card. In WotF, Parasol can be considered the opposite of UFO Kirby.

The screenshot is from Kirby Super Star on the SNES. Kirby floats down gently in front of a space-themed backdrop. Itís easy to imagine that itís Zebes in the background, and that there are dozens of Fanboys just out of frame, preparing to land on Final Destination or Magicant.

Clarifications

Is there a limit to how many times I can invade each air territory from each Zebes or Great Fox territory?

No. You may make attacks to each air territory, from each Zebes and/or Great Fox territory, as often as youíd like or have Fanboys available to invade, or stop whenever you are satisfied. You may invade multiple air territories from a single Zebes or Great Fox territory, or you may invade a single air territory from multiple Zebes and/or Great Fox territories.

Previous Versions

The original Parasol substituted for Ness. There were 2 of these cards in WotF 1.0, and one was trimmed back in 2.0 because generally, when players got this card, they already had both Kirby and Ness on the board. The artwork can be found in multiple booklets, but it can be seen uncropped in the Kirby and the Amazing Mirror manual.
