Card Info

Title: Fire Blast
Cost:

3 coins

Quantity:

x1

Play:

Play before your first invasion.

Description:

Choose an opponent's land territory and roll an 8-sided die. Destroy fanboys and/or Heroes equal to the number rolled.

Notes

Moltres is the third and final legendary bird. Fire Blast is the mightiest fire attack. Combine these two and you have the Pokemon equivalent of a long-range cruise missile. Use it to wreak absolute havoc on an enemy land territory. Then again, even the strongest Pokemon moves can miss their target, so itís possible that the opponent might survive with just a slight singeing.

This artwork was chosen because it shows exactly what happens when Fire Blast is played: Moltres swoops down and burns everything beneath it. The Pokemon card that the picture came from was another Wizards Black Star Promo published by Wizards of the Coast, before Nintendo took over production of the Pokemon Trading Card Game. The illustration is that of Toshinao Aoki, though the image was altered slightly where the fire meets the beak.

Alternate Artwork

When Fire Blast was upgraded in War of the Fanboys 3.0, the original artwork was preserved. Magmar was a good match for the card: Itís a strong fire Pokemon, itís actively spitting fire, and the whole card is rife with flame. However, to complete the legendary bird trio, and to fully respect the power of the Fire Blast card, it was switched to the much more rare and spectacular Moltres. Like Moltres, this card was another Wizards Black Star Promo, but this one was drawn by Atsuko Nishida.

Previous Versions

Despite the ultimate change in Pokemon, Fire Blast is the exact same card itís always been.

I am playing scrabble by phone with Kidlet3. I liked it better when he was younger and stoopider. He just beat me. I resigned… I finally had a good word in a good place that would have given me 57 points (vial) and he used the spot for &#c&80;2an2#8221; and got 21 points. Now I have even worse letters on this new game. I passed to make him go first, and now I can’t resign since it’s not my turn. And I don’t want to play any more Last time I had one vowel and repeating consonants, now I have two consonants and repeating vowels.
