Notes

Aside from being the most sought after Pokemon card of my youth, Charizard is the final evolution of one of the original starter Pokemon. In Pokemon Red/Blue, Fire Spin is the final move Charizard learns, and it’s a bit shocking upon first use, when it deals very minimal damage to the opponent. The trick is that the Fire Spin continues to burn like a tornado from hell, trapping the defending Pokemon and damaging them continuously. In War of the Fanboys, Fire Spin surrounds an opponent’s Fanboys and Hereos, trapping them in their territory with a wall of flame.

Charizard is another powerful fire Pokemon and is well-known among fans. This Charizard comes from the Pokemon TGC’s Stormfront set, and was chosen because it is breathing fire, and the red holographic effects behind him make it appear as though the flames have already circled around. The illustration is by Mitsuhiro Arita.

Clarifications

Can units from the affected territory still defend?

Yes. All Fanboys and Heroes within a Fire Spin defend normally. You and other opponents can still attack the territory. If the territory is captured, consider the Fire Spin disabled.

Previous Versions

The Fire Spin card has not changed, even though the move has changed in the actual Pokemon games. It was, however, reduced from 2 copies to 1. This artwork came from the Expedition Base Set released by Wizards of the Coast and was illustrated by Atsuko Nishida.

Sounds like a book I will need to read soon! Number 1 is so simple- be true to yourself. So, why do we let things get in the way of what we know makes us happy. “If I could just…” “When____ ha830nsRpe;.&#p221; So many excuses. It’s good to revisit those and I love the idea of a book guiding me through so thoughts. Thanks for the post!
