Card Info

Title: Swift
Cost:

2 coins

Quantity:

x1

Play:

Play before your first invasion.

Description:

Choose an opponent's land or air territory and roll a 6-sided die. Destroy fanboys and/or Heroes equal to the number rolled.

Notes

Swift was one of two moves that could attack a Pokemon even if it was flying or underground. This versatility is reflected in War of the Fanboys, as the Swift card allows players to strike both land and air territories. The flexibility makes this card valuable to have.

The Starmie in the card art comes from the Neo Revelation card made by Wizards of the Coast. It has multiple illustrators, and credit is split between Keita Komatsuya and the artist group, CR CG gangs.

Previous Versions

Originally there were two copies of Swift in the Pokemon deck, and they only struck air territories. In War of the Fanboys 3.0, it was switched with the Star card from the Kirby deck. This helped both cards stay true to theme, as Swift was certainly not exclusive to midflight Pokemon in Red/Blue. Art is the same as the current version.
