Card Info

Title: Boomerang
Cost:

1 coin

Quantity:

x1

Play:

Play before your first invasion.

Description:

Choose one of your opponent's Heroes. Roll an 8-sided die. If you roll a 3 or higher, destroy the chosen Hero.

Notes

In the 3d Zelda games, Link uses his Boomerang to lock onto and strike enemies from a distance. Target opposing Heroes with the Boomerang card and knock them right off the board. This can buy an extra turn if your opponent has a powerful card; knock out that seriesí Hero and they wonít be able to play it.

The screenshot shows young Link using the boomerang against a jellyfish during the boss battle with Barinade inside of Lord Jabu-Jabu. Lord Jabu-Jabu is the third dungeon in the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and without the boomerang it is impossible to save him from the evil Anemone. This was the last stop before Link takes the leap 7 years into the future.

Alternate Artwork

When reducing from 2 cards to 1, one of the images had to get cut. This picture also came from Ocarina of Time. Feel free to use this one if you like it better!

Previous Versions

Nothing changed about the card from WotF 2.0, not even the wording. The only difference is that originally there were two of these cards. In the current version of War of the Fanboys, one of them has been upgraded to the Gale Boomerang, which can target up to 5 units.

The artwork for the original card came from the Link to the Past game manual.

Thanks, Julie. Nice to know I am a “shining example” in this way! I so agree with reaching out to people who are 100% supportive. If our environements are supportive, we wither. But we have to actively seek out and create that supportive envmaonient.Glrd you stopped by!
