Notes

While there is no Laser Upgrade available in any Zelda game, the card fits into this deck because, as some fans know, the Arwing is a hidden enemy in Ocarina of Time, which can be spawned with a Gameshark. Actually, the card had to go somewhere, and the Arwing in OoT just made for a good coincidence. Also, while the Great Fox never actually picks up a Laser Upgrade in any of the Star Fox games, it seems likely that it could make use of one. Play it when you control the Great Fox to upgrade your chances of attack.

The existence of this card has spawned much consideration regarding a Star Fox Hero and a deck of Star Fox Hero Cards. This would probably include Arwing territories, also, which might help attack or defend Great Fox territories, depending on who the pilot is. The cardís artwork comes from Star Fox 64, the game that cemented the series in Nintendo history.

Clarifications

What happens if player who used Laser Upgrade loses control of the Great Fox?

The Laser Upgrade permanently augments the power of the Great Fox over the course of the game. If the player who used Laser Upgrade loses and then regains control of the Great Fox, or if control changes to a different player, the benefits of the card remain in effect. Use of the Laser Upgrade simply makes the Great Fox a hotter commodity, or a juicier target.

Previous Versions

Laser Upgrade may look like it was a must have card of WotF 2.0, giving players an 83% chance of successfully attacking, but back then, the Great Fox Laser Strike only destroyed 1 Fanboy instead of 3. The original artwork also came from Star Fox 64.
